Bowen’s travels.

Recently we visited Northern Ireland to stay with some friends and got the chance to do a bit of site seeing. As we are typical South African’s, the camera was snapping away at everything that moved (well almost everything). Somehow or other, we managed to take over 400 photos, which is relatively easily when you have two digital cameras, make that four if you count mobile phones these days.

Anyway, this weekend I have been going through all the photos, sorting out the crap ones from the wow ones. I also managed to set up a new website called bowen’s travel, which is not final yet, but I am giving it a trial. It uses the Pixelpost template and the great thing about this site is that is shows off the photographs in all their glory, with no distraction from the other parts of the website. Kimi F1 World Champion.

Yes, I am guilty of not blogging again… There has just been too much on the go in recent weeks, what with the Springboks winning the world cup rugby AGAIN, and Kimi finally winning the F1 world championships with Ferrari, pipping those Mclaren boys (Alonso and Hamilton) by 1 point. He won the most important race of the year, and I doubt the FIA are going to take that away from him. How Mclaren can feel they deserve the race and the title is beyond me. Didn’t Kimi win more races than anyone even before the last race? (6 wins, compared to 4 wins for Alonso and Hamilton, and 3 for Massa). Staying with F1 and that final race in Brazil… wasn’t that a disaster for golden boy Lewis Hamilton? He drove so well throughout the year, and then his wheels started to fall off two races from the end. Oh! well, it’s probably best he didn’t win it this year, after all how can we be so sure his cheating team ‘Mclaren’ didn’t use some of the knowledge they gained from the Ferrari spy scandal. Have you seen this F1 headline? Sir Jackie: ‘McLaren Won’t Win Appeal As The FIA Favours Ferrari’ - Who does Sir Jackie think he is? Clearly not winning any friends from this comment. He really is full of himself.

Fly Springboks, proven world champions!!!

Here is the man who will break Jona Lomu’s try scoring record in the World Cup. He is Bryan Habana and England can start to fear him now.

Wasn’t the match against the Argentina cry babies special. I think the Springboks are saving their best game for the final, when hopefully they can quieten the English once and for all.

Hey! I will take my hat off to England. They have done well to get to the final having beaten some really good teams against all the odds, (media, their own fans), but I think they will struggle against the team that has already thrashed them 36 - 0 in this competition.

And just by the way (BTW)… I did predict on the 6th of October than England would be playing South Africa in the finals.

I can’t wait for the weekend! Andrew if you read this blog, I hope we are not the only South Africans in Northern Ireland watching the game!
