We have used our Sony Playstation 3 perhaps four or five times to watch hired Blue Ray disks from Blockbusters. It’s time this PS3 moved in with someone who is going to use it in the way it was meant to be used (games / movies  / online browsing / facebook / twitter / social entertainment console).

We have an XBOX which we use all the time so that is the only reason why I am selling the PS3.

Note: This is not the slim version of PS3.

Specifications:

This the the 40GB version that comes with a built in Blue Ray disc drive for high definition gaming, movies and entertainment. It’s got true 1080p HD support. The box includes the motion sensitive SIXAXIS wireless controller. The built-in hard drive means there is plenty of space for movies, music, games and downloads. There is also a Gigabit network port and full broadband connectivity for easy access to the Playstation Network and online entertainment. It’s WIFI certified (B, G), can support up to seven Bluetooth devices, has USB ports on the front, which support USB Keys, USB Hard disks etc. It outputs Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Surround, has an HDMI port and can read DVD Video/Rom. Finally it is a region 2 player with PAL support. The box weighs 6.5kg with everything packaged inside.

I am also throwing in a Bluetooth remote control + my only two games (Grand Turismo 5 Prologue and Formula 1 Championship Edition).

How is your geometry?

By Mike. Posted in Online Games, Random | No Comments » | 198 views

Geometry and maths in general was always a bit iffy during my high school years (I am talking over 15 years ago), until I totally flunked maths in Standard 9. My parents in desperation sent me for private maths lessons somewhere in Vincent, (East London, South Africa) and after learning some cool maths tricks, geometry and maths in general became fun again, so much so that I ripped through my exams with a C.

eyeballing-game1Of course a lot of us use maths in some way or form throughout our lives. Andrew Meyer (a friend of Lookatbowen.com) stumbledupon a really cool online maths game called “The Eyeballing Game“.

The game works by showing you a series of geometries that need to be adjusted a little bit to make them right. A square highlights the point that needs to be moved or adjusted. You have to use the mouse to drag the blue square or arrowhead where you feel it is ‘right’. Once you let go of the mouse, the computer evaluates your move.

New High Score 2268669413.

This will be the last time I play this game, because:

  1. There is no point.
  2. The game is too easy for me.
  3. The music is going to drive me insane!
  4. I don’t have another 8 minutes to waste.
  5. It’s Christmas Eve.
  6. It is pretty pointless (a silly white bunny hopping onto bells… I mean really!).
  7. There is a beer waiting for me downstairs.

Winterbells by Orisinal.com

By Mike. Posted in Online Games, Reviews | 3 Comments » | 704 views

Have you tried Winterbells by Orisinal.com yet? It’s a brilliant, simple yet very addictive and frustrating flash game. Basically you have to control the little white bunny with your mouse and make him jump on the bells. Every bell you land on, gets you points, and you move upwards into the heavens. Miss a bell and you tumble all the way back down to the ground and the game is over.

Lookatbowen's highscore 46620600

Every so often you will see a pigeon flying across the screen. Try and land on it, because it doubles your total points accumulated. I’ve noticed as well that the bells get smaller the higher you go. As you can see above I’ve been playing it quite a lot (ha ha). My high score so far is 46 620 600. Mmmm, I wonder if they will ever release this on the XBOX360?

So, the weekend has come and gone, England scraped through thanks to an own goal by one of the Paraguay players (idiots!!!). There were plenty of games on the weekend to keep us busy, and of course the F1 Grandprix at Silverstone. That Alonso, what can we say about him… Nothing. :-(

Just heard Australia has beaten Japan (3-1).

Staying with the world cup theme, someone kindly sent me a link to Heidi’s Babe World Cup. This is a must for all you guys and lesbians out there who are following the world cup.

It’s that time again……FRIDAY!!!

By Mike. Posted in Humour, Online Games, TGIF | 1 Comment » | 143 views

It’s Friday – Yay!!! – It’s suppose to be snowing in London today, but alas those silly buggers at the met office got it wrong yet again. Hopefully it will snow on the weekend. Right! onto the game below. Especially for all those beer guzzling mofos. (Note: If you are in the office and your boss is around, be careful). :-)
