  • Fast Icon are royalty free icons. Some pretty cool icons if you are interested in that sort of thing.
  • Last year I was looking for a CCTV camera for  my home. Here is a forum I spent a lot of time on getting advice, reviews etc, on the best camera for the job. 4 pages of knowledge, well worth the read if you are interested.
  • If you are into logical thinking puzzles, then you will love this eyemaze game.
  • Need help with an IT problem? Why not ask an expert. (me), but perhaps there is something I cannot answer (it’s been known to happen), then why not try QUNU. They claim to answer all your questions online in real time. Worth a try if everything else fails.
  • Are you looking for a property and an estate agent. Well here is a brilliant web site called UK Property Professionals Directory.
  • I found this great photography tutorial online. It’s called Photopassion, and it’s hosted by Microsoft.
  • If you live in London and like your audio, digital, video, music, computers high street stores, then there is no better place to visit than Tottenham Court Road. Well this site shows you exactly what is in that street. Very clever idea. Just scroll left to right for every shop.
  • If you want a simple way of searching just about anything in Google, then take a look at Simple Google.
  • I have been playing a great online game called Final Fortress over at Miniclip.com.
  • Do you want to win something, why not try the Evening Standard Competition. You’ve got nothing to lose. However, unless you know the code, which you would normally find in the newspaper, don’t bother entering.
  • A handy web based tool for creating favicons.ico. If you are wondering what I am talking about, try bookmarking my site, and then go back into your favorites. You should see an image Favicon next to my site name. (pretty cool hey!).
  • From the same great people who brought you favicons.ico, here is image splitter for loading those images quicker.
  • If you need fancy icons for your desktop or web page then look no further than Yellowicon.com. It has a wealth of free icons and they look fantastic.
  • Logmein.com allows you to control your work PC from anywhere, even PDAs, Share, transfer & synchronize large files & folders, Collaborate with colleagues by sharing your PC, Work flexibly, according to your schedule.
  • Google has some handy tools, which I have made use of on my site. Here they are: Google Adsense & Google Sitemap.

  • Somebody sent me this great site which, allows you to create those little buttons, or powered by images for your site. Give it a try and be creative.

  • Another great tool from Google, this time called Google Analytical. If you are a webmaster then having statistics for your site is a great way to see who is visiting, when, how long they stay for what pages they are looking at, how best you can attract people to your site etc.
  • I found one of the classic arcade games while surfing the heavy seas of the British Isles Internet :-) Helicopter is simple to play, just don’t crash. Use your mouse to stay up, let go to drop.

  • Urban75, Wow! what can I say about this site other than it’s brilliant and there is a ton of links to click on.
  • I know I say this a lot, but Wow! isn’t the internet just amazing. There is so much to read and discover. I stumbledupon a great little utility called Mouse Away. It basically moves your mouse away from the cursor while you type. I know from personal experience that the mouse often gets in the way of a character or punctuation. So when this software is loaded, the mouse is automatically moved away. Very Cool.
  • If you like pong and tennis, then you are going to love this flash game.
  • The greatest flash game ever! It’s called Uniroyal Fun Cup, and it’s a racing game. Do yourself a favour and register that way you can submit your best times. So far my best time is 1:46, which has put be 260th on the table. (pathetic I know, but none of my colleagues at work could get close).
  • The X-Ray machine is pretty clever.. be careful though where you watch this. ;-)
  • If you are in the business of embedding video, realaudio, flash or quicktime into your website, then take a look at this generator. It works really well on an IIS server.
  • Another excellent game called G-MAX, it’s a skateboarding game in a halfpipe, and the idea is to do all the tricks and get the highest score in 1:00 minute.
  • Not being the religious type, I thought the following Uncyclopedia was very funny, blasmerous but funny.
  • I found a brilliant puzzle game involving cars, highways and car parks. It’s called Parking Zone. A very clever game.
  • In the same flavour as Virtual Bartender, this site is called “one of the lads” and the idea I guess to get the three lovely ladies cleaning that beetle. And there is also Virtual Girlfriend. Very clever!
  • What is your Page Rank? It is the all important rank that shows the world how you are ranked in the internet. If you are a 0 then you are unknown to the Internet world. The page rank for this page is Whats Your Google PageRank?, and I’ve also put my page rank on the main page.
  • Have you ever wondered what someone’s web site looked like three years ago or perhaps you had a web site many moons ago when you first started out and want to see it in action. Well did you know that every single web site in the world is backed up on some massive (and it must be massive) server. Don’t believe me, well then, go to the Wayback Machine Internet Archive web site.
  • I was having trouble securing one of my folders on my linux box and did a little soul searching on the internet for a solution and came across the answer. Apparently to secure a folder one is suppose to use .htaccess & .htpasswd files.  I knew about .htaccess but now I have.htpasswd also, thanks to the brilliant Webmaster Toolkit.
