So bird flu has finally reached our shores!    At last, now they (the media) can stop talking about it. I wouldn’t be surprised it landed a couple of months ago and the scientists just kept it to themselves.

Here is the mother swan mourning the death of her daughter and on the right the evil copper who found the diseased swan floating upside down in the harbour. He doesn’t look too concerned for his health.

 
: Anyone who finds a dead swan, duck or goose, or three or more dead wild or garden birds together, are advised to contact the DEFRA helpline, which is 08459 335 577. But a single, small bird should be left alone and the department need not be contacted.
I wonder if the same goes for all the dead birds along the A13 Motorway.
