I created my first slider using the WordPress plugin ‘Slider Revolution’.
Recently I noticed a plugin called Revolution Slider, which came with my Jevelin theme. I activated it but didn’t really know what it was about or how I could use it, so I spent a few hours watching some videos on it and all I can say is WOW!
Slider Revolution is an innovative, responsive WordPress Slider Plugin that displays your content the beautiful way.
That definition from their website doesn’t do it justice. If you have ever visited Apple.com and wondered how they get that moving image to happen, well that is called a slider and the Slider Revolution plugin makes them happen.
I spent almost all of Sunday learning how to use this Slider Revolution plugin. There are hundreds of toggles, buttons and options to turn on and off, not to mention a whole gallery of samples. It is not easy and it took me multiple attempts to figure it out, and a lot of help from YouTube, but hey ho, what an awesome tool, and a game change for blogs like mine. Click the slider link to see my first ever slider. It reveals our next big adventure happening soon. 😉
Back to Jevelin. It is a feature rich, responsive theme, meaning it is also mobile friendly. There are tons of features built into this awesome theme and it is aimed at shop owners, professionals and folk like me who blog. It has taken me a good few weeks to learn some of the tools available. It is a paid theme and the first ever theme that I’ve bought, but boy oh boy it has been worth it. I like its clean, wide format as well as the featured images. The menu at the top of the page is sticky, meaning when one scrolls up it stays put allowing the menu to be visible always. The social media icons are also cool.
